Carly will review your detailed intake paperwork, conduct a consultation, provide dietary and lifestyle recommendations, and the first acupuncture treatments. She will discuss if Chinese herbs are recommended for you at the initial stage or later in your fertility journey.

Carly will work with you to develop a personalized and comprehensive treatment plan that will empower you with tools you can implement on day one.
At your initial appointment she will review your detailed intake form, provide an acupuncture treatment, and end the session with diet and lifestyle recommendations to enhance your results.
How it works
Acupuncture improves fertility by:

Improving systemic blood flow and blood flow to the reproductive organs

Regulating the phases of the menstrual cycle

Improving egg and sperm quality

Reducing stress and activating the parasympathetic nervous system
Treatments for men and women:

Female eggs take 3-4 months to fully mature and it can take this amount of time to see a substantial change in egg quality.

Men regenerate sperm daily, but it takes 74 days for sperm to fully mature. Therefore, treatment efficacy will likely take 3 months to be shown in sperm quality.
With IUI and IVF:

Fertility acupuncture can be utilized whether someone is trying to conceive naturally or in conjunction with IUI/IVF. The best time to start acupuncture is as soon as possible.

I recommend at least 6-10 sessions prior to IUI/IVF, though it's most optimal to receive treatments for 3 months prior.

Timelines of fertility journeys vary. I have seen clients get pregnant within one month of treatment, and others take over a year.

I started working with Carly in October 2023. I came to acupuncture after 6 months of trying to conceive, dedicating the next 3 months to do all we could to conceive naturally before considering assistive reproductive technology.

One year after starting with Carly, we welcomed our sweet baby girl into the world. I can truly say acupuncture was the most helpful and supportive thing I did during my conception and pregnancy journey.
